Dhangadhi, June 24 :
Member of Parliament and general secretary of the Jana Morcha Nepal , Nawaraj Subedi, said here today that instead of international observers it is the domestic observers who should supervise the government-Maoist talks.
According to Subedi, domestic means that the present National Human Right Commission (NHRC) should be restructured and it alone should supervise the government-Maoist talks.
Speaking at an interaction programme here on the issue of a constituent assembly, Subedi said that an election to a constituent assembly was necessary to restructure the nation
and also to form a new constitution as per the wishes of people.
The Nepal Army should be sent back to the barracks, he said, adding that the Maoist army also should be kept in temporary barracks before the process of the election
to a constituent assembly begins.
Former Member of Parliament Maheshwor Pathak, CPN (UML) alternative central member Bhanu Bhakta Jaisi and Govindaraj Joshi of the Nepali Congress also expressed their views on the occasion.
The programme was organized by the Jana Morcha Nepal’s Kailali chapter.
