SURUNGA, JHAPA: Two relatives have been reportedly arrested on charge of killing a woman of Surunga in Kankai Municipality-3 in Jhapa district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Sharmila Mahji (20).

The arrested have been identified as her mother-in-law Sharada Mahji (40) and husband Sabin Mahji (20).

The duo were arrested in accusation of involvement in the murder of Majhi, according to the Inspector Prakash Jagebu at the Birtamod-based Area Police Office.

Majhi was found hanging from a tree branch near her home on Friday morning.
