A group of five armed men identifying themselves as cadres of the Jwala Singh-led Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-J) on Monday night abducted Amrendra Kumar Verma, an officer at the Kanchanpur Area Forest Office. The group was headed by JTMM-J area in-charge, Pawan, the Kanchanpur APO said. “The group had abducted forest ranger Lalbabu Yadav, but he was set free later,” said inspector BN Majhi.
