JTMM-J warns against extracting sand, gravel

Bara, July 14:

The Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha - Jwala Singh (JTMM-J) has warned of physical action against those persons extracting gravel and stones from the rivers in the district.

The JTMM-J district Tarai government chief Tabarej Bhai, making phone calls to journalists from an undisclosed place, gave such a warning today.

“As acts of extracting sand and gravel from the rivers in rainy season cause imbalance to the environment, the party has issued a warning to take action against anyone extracting sand and gravels in the rivers in the district,” a JTMM-J source said, adding that extracting sand and gravel from the rivers will be banned from July 17. Meanwhile, in Itahari, the JTMM-J cadres torched a microbus at Bhokraha of Sunsari last night. The microbus was torched as a part of a week-long protest programme, a JTMM-J source said.
