Itahari, March 11:

Cadres of the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-Jwala Singh) and Maoists had a shoot-out between them in Sunsari’s Satterjhoda this morning.

The shoot-out continued for an hour between Maoist youth cadres and the Morcha men at Majhaura canal located in Satterjhoda-9. The Maoists were heading for Itahari from Sunsari’s Chimadi VDC in a passenger bus.

The passenger bus in which the Maoists were travelling, was totally devastated after it was torched by Morcha cadres, Maoists’ Sunsari in-charge Himal said.

However, the Morcha’s Sunsari-Morang in-charge Bikram claimed that his party cadres fired back only in retaliation. He said the Maoists cadres have been kept in detention and their weapons have been seized.
