JTMM suspends Jwala Singh for ‘aiding’ regressive forces

Rajbiraj, May 17:

Central leaders of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha led by Jwala Singh have suspended its chairman Nagendra Paswan alias Jwala Singh.

Four JTMM-J politburo members — Ranabir Singh, Bibash Bidrohi, Chandra Shekhar and Krish — in a statement today, stated that a meeting of JTMM-J politburo members held on May 12 decided to suspend the party’s chairman Jwala Singh.

Jwala Singh has been accused of not returning the land belonging to Rajeshwor Shan and Bindeshwor Shah of Mirchaiya of Siraha yet, not owning up the negative role of the party during the CA elections, presenting the annual financial details of the party recklessly without informing the central leaders of the party, purchasing one bigha and 15 katthas of land in Madhubani of India in his wife’s name without informing party leaders and providing opportunity to the regressive forces without holding talks with other Madhesi groups fighting for the freedom of Madhes.

Meanwhile, responding over phone, Jwala Singh said, “Some of my friends are losing faith in the course of the agitation of freedom. I am ready to correct my mistakes.”

The statement further stated that Ranabir Singh has been appointed as acting chairman of the party.

It added that the general convention of the party will he held in the third week of June.
