Judicial committee’s functioning hit

Dhangadi, September 24

The judicial committee’s works have been affected due to lack of bench, staffers and laws in Kailali.

A separate bench is yet to be managed in the judicial committee even though the local government was formed one-and-a-half years ago. The separate bench has to perform works of the judicial committee. But the judicial committee of the 13 local levels only has office table for deputy chiefs.

Some judicial advisers were appointed in some local levels. But, the local level committees have yet to receive any advice from these advisers.

Deputy Mayor Prem Kumari Thapa of Ghodaghodi Municipality, who is also the coordinator of the judicial committee, said that advisers have to be appointed soon as they were unaware about some issues.

Similarly, Vice-chair Laxmi Satgauwa Tharu of Kailari Rural Municipality, who is the coordinator of the judicial committee, said that it was very difficult to implement agreements.

The coordinators have been implementing justice within the constraints of the committee.
