Judicial Council gears up for appellate judges’ rejig

Kathmandu, October 26:

After transferring district court judges, the Judicial Council is now working on transfer of judges of the appellate courts throughout the country.

“We have been working on the transfer of judges in the appellate courts. After the transfer of the judges, we will appoint judges to the vacant posts in different courts all over the country,” said a member of the council after a meeting held here today.

He further added that the appointment of the judges would begin after the transfer process was over. Fifty-two posts of judges’ are lying vacant in different courts across the country, as the the JC didn’t appoint any judge during the past two years.
