KANCHANPUR: A 24-year-old youth found with multiple injuries on a roadside at Kaluwapur of Shuklaphanta Municipality-11 of Kanchanpur died while being rushed for treatment on Thursday.

The Kanchanpur District Police Office (DPO) has identified the deceased as Amit Chaudhary of Bhajani Rajwara in Kailali district.

Chaudhary was reportedly found injured and unconscious on the road at the distance of about 100 metres from Kaluwapur intersection in a southward direction. He died on the way to a hospital, police said.

The body of the deceased has multiple injuries and bruises raising the suspicion that he was beaten, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gyan Bahadur Seti, at the DPO.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
