Kamal Thapa elected PP leader of unified RPP

KATHMANDU: The recently unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party today elected party Chairman Kamal Thapa as the leader of its parliamentary party and Minister Deepak Bohara as the deputy leader.

The meeting of the parliamentary party was held at Singhadarbar today to decide the names of the leaders and office bearers. This is the first meeting held by the party after the merger between the erstwhile RPP and RPP-Nepal.

According to the party's central member Kiran Giri, the meeting also discussed issues of Constitution amendment among other contemporary political issues of the nation.

There are 37 members of the RPP in the Parliament and is the fourth major force there.
