KAPILVASTU: Educational institutions have resumed classes in the district following pressures exerted by the local parents and guardians.

The institutions opened from today after a closure for the past 54 days.

The United Madhesi Democratic Front had called the general strike expressing dissatisfaction over the delineation of border of federal units in the new Constitution.

The Front in the district issued a press release today and announced the resumption of schools.

Meanwhile, locals have urged the government and agitating sides to end the general strike as the great festivals are approaching.
