Karnali to build hospitals in 39 local levels

Karnali Province government is planning to build hospitals in 39 local levels of 10 districts in the province.

The move is aimed at providing quality healthcare services to province residents.

Each local level will have a five to 15-bed hospital, said Karnali Province Minister of Health and Population Nawaraj Rawat. The minister informed that the proposal to construct health facilities in 39 local levels was passed by the meeting of the council of ministers.

Seven hospitals will be built in Surkhet district, four in Humla, five in Jajarkot, two in Jumla and six in Dailekh, according to Rawat.

Likewise, Rukum West will have two hospitals, Salyan six, Kalikot two and Dolpa will have three.
