Kaski quake victims far from relief due to wrong data

POKHARA: Six months have passed since the devastating April 25 earthquake, but many victims of the tremor living in 14 VDCs of Kaski district are still deprived of Rs 15,000, the basic relief package provided by government.

The victims are away from the relief due to the wrong details sent by representatives of five-party political mechanism.

According to Krishna Bahadur Raut, Kaski Chief District Officer, informed that the VDC secretaries have submitted applications to the District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee for the second assessment to know the reality in villages.

Due to the lack of true data, the victims are away from the relief, informed local people.

The locals of Parche, Hansabur, Namarjung, Siddha, Thumaki, Dhital, Mauja, Deurali, Mijuredanda, Majhthana, Ghandruk, Thumakodanda, Kalika and Rupakot of the district are deprived of the relief.
