Khanal for timely polls
Pokhara, September 8:
CPN-UML standing committee member Jhalanath Khanal today said that regressive forces will be benefited if the CA polls were not held in the deadline.
Speaking at an interaction on ‘Trade Union Campaign for CA and Democratic Republic’ organised by the Gandaki-Dhaulagiri zonal committee of Nepal Trade Union here, he said: “The eight parties will lose people’s trust if the polls were not held on time.”
“There will be no institutionalised development of new Nepal until there was the end of feudalism from the country,” he said, adding: CPN-UML will issue such manifesto for the polls that could address the sentiments of the people.
There will be a heavy majority of votes for the CA polls after the Nepali Congress decides to go to the republic, he said, adding the eight parties have to go to the villages with common programmes with the slogan of republic.
He said that the Maoists act of tarring the faces of UML leaders was against the law. MP Chundamani Jangali, UML central member Trilochan Dhakal, central alternate member Tul Bahadur Gurung and Kaski secretary Rabindra Adhikari also spoke on the occasion.
