LALBANDI: CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal said that the nation is headed for internal conflicts if the political parties failed to forge consensus.

Addressing a mass meeting of his party cadres in Lalbandi, Sarlahi on Friday Khanal said that there was no alternative to the politics of consensus. He urged the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist to join the government.

He further said the country would not progress if they keep obstructing the parliament and protest on the streets. He made it clear that his party had no lust for power and was ready to quit for the sake of the people.
