Kin seek fair investigation into NC leader Ale’s death

Damauli, December 1

Kin of Uda Bahadur Ale, who died under mysterious circumstances over a week ago, have sought fair investigation into the case.

The sixty-five-year-old Nepali Congress Ghiring Rural Municipality-1 ward president had gone missing on November 21 from a jungle near his home while grazing his goats.

Eight days after he went missing, his body was found near Lakuri Bhanjyang in Byas Municipality-13.

Citing the nature of the dead body, bathed in blood and with deep wounds in his head, Ale’s kin have suspected it to be a murder.

“As there were wounds all over his body, he must have been the victim of a premeditated plan. The authorities must probe and find who is behind this murder,” said Ale’s eldest son Purna Bahadur.

Further, the bereaved kin have also warned of a stern agitation should the authorities fail to investigate the case and bring to book the culprit(s).

Former vice-chairperson of the then Kahunshivapur Village Development Committee, Ale was also a noted social leader.

District Police Office Tanahun Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal informed that police had started their investigation.

“We’re investigating the case from multiple angles and are learning if the man found dead had any issue with anyone,”added Deputy Superintendent of Police Aryal.
