King tells people to vote
Biratnagar, January 14:
King Gyanendra, in course of his informal visit to the eastern development region, arrived in Itahari this morning.
The King listened to the grievances of the people. During an interaction, the King directed the civilians to take part in the municipal polls and help the right candidates win. During the interaction, most of the people aired their desire for peace.
“The municipal polls are near. If you chose the right candidates, all the problems dogging rural and urban areas could be solved,” the King told the people.
The King had reached the Itahari (1)-based Radha Raman temple after a two-hour walk from the eastern division headquarters of the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA), security sources said.
Though the royal couple was scheduled to visit Damak today, the trip was postponed due to an inclement weather, security sources said.
The King and the Queen will visit Khandbari, the district headquarters of Sankhuwasabha, tomorrow.
