King visits Abu Dhabi college

Abu Dhabi, June 20:

King Gyanendra today visited the Higher College of Technology (HCT) here and acquired information on its teaching and academic activities. The King observed various classrooms, the library and the laboratory. Vice-Chancellor of the college Dr Tameba Kamali and other officials welcomed the King. Foreign minister Rameshnath Pandey and charge d’affaires at the Royal Nepali Embassy in the UAE Madhuvan Poudel were also present during the visit.

The HCT, which started with four collages and 259 students in 1988, now has 30 affiliated colleges and 25,000 students. It offers courses on engineering, commerce, information technology, communication and health sciences, at diploma, higher diploma and bachelor’s levels.
