King’s moves will shape NC policy: Arjun

Stating that the Nepali Congress has not yet adopted the republican set-up as its agenda, a central committee member of the Nepali Congress said here today that only after watching the King’s future moves will the party decide whether to root for the republican set-up.

Addressing a gathering of Nepali Congress cadres, Arjun Narsingh KC, who arrived in Kaski today to take part in an awareness campaign, said his party was still in favour of House reinstatement.

Weaknesses in the present constitution can be corrected, the Nepali Congress leader said, adding that the seven-party agitation aims to bring the Maoists into

democratic mainstream.

The Nepali Congress leader called on the workers of different political parties to take part in the agitation without fear.

Mistakes may have been made during the 12-year multiparty rule, he said, adding that several feats were also accomplished during the same period.
