Kirant outfit torches VDC documents

Bhojpur, July 13:

Cadres of the Kirant People’s Workers’ Party set ablaze documents of the Bhainsepankha VDC.

Some KPWP activists seized the VDC documents and torched them, said locals. Earlier, cadres of the party had also set ablaze the documents of eight VDCs in the southern part of the district, the Bhojpur District Police Office said.

“The KPWP has told us to quit,” said a VDC secretary, requesting anonymity. With the KPWP’s warning of physical action, one of the VDC secretaries said the VDC secretaries had been forced to stay in the district headquarters.

Meanwhile, the KPWP has asked each mule operator, who ferries goods from Hile Leguwato of Dhankuta to Bhojpur district headquarters, to provide Rs 10,000 donation.
