Dharan, September 25:

Kirant Janabadi Workers Party (KJWP), an underground outfit, detonated a bomb on the premises of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School in Dharan-6 today.

The bomb, however, caused no damage, sub-inspector Babindra Nembang said. Police are investigating the incident.

KJWP chairman Nabin Kiranti said the bomb was detonated to disrupt a fair slated to be held in the school on the occasion of Dashain and Tihar. “Our party decided to disrupt the fair as the Dharan Municipality did not listen to us though we had told it not to organise the fair in the school,” chairman Kiranti said. “

On September 22, KJWP cadres had triggered a blast on the premises of the municipality.
