KP Oli-led govt a failure: Paudel

Rautahat, April 27

Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel has observed that the government, which is entangled in multiple scandals, has become a total failure.

“Be it the shoddy aircraft deal or Nirmala murder case or bullion smuggling, the government is up to its eyeballs in dirty scandals, and for the same reason the government led by KP Sharma Oli has lost the trust of people and has failed in almost every aspect,” said the NC leader.

He was addressing a mass meeting organised by the party in Rautahat’s Rajpur Municipality today.

“The government of the prime minister who is not tired of making tall promises of prosperity is acting contrary to the promises.

Let alone making the country prosperous, the Oli-led government has brought shame to the country,” Paudel added.

The opposition party leader asked the people not to believe the false promises of the prime minister and said, “People need to wake up to the fact that the PM is making them fools by showing them big dreams of operating our own ship and the likes, rather than doing the needful to ensure irrigation facility for farmers.”

Speaking at the programme, NC General Secretary Shashank Koirala dwelt on the relation between his party and the Madhes.

“The people of the Madhes have always stood by the Nepali Congress whenever the party was in crisis. In fact, the relation between NC and the Madhes is just like that of the two wheels of a chariot,” said.

The opposition party leader also demanded that one of the top positions of the government should be accorded to a representative from the Madhes.

“Madhes should have representation in one of the top posts of either the president or the prime minister or the speaker,” he said.
