Lalitpur house burgled while family was out for Dashain celebration
KATHMANDU: Police said a house in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City has been burgled and property worth Rs 539,000 including jewelleries were stolen while everyone was out for the Dashain vacation, on Saturday.
The thieves had broken the padlock to enter the house of Bhawana Ghimire while the family had left for their village in Tehrathum district to celebrate the festival, police added.
The thieves had stolen jewellery weighing six tola, a laptop and Rs 15,000 cash, police added.
Further investigation is underway, according to police.
