BIRGUNJ: A man who provided shelter to three kidnappers and their captive in his house has been arrested in Parsa district.

Police said they swung into action and held Chandra Kanta Chaurasiya of Mudali VDC after Suresh Kumar Gupta escaped from the clutch of his kidnappers and sought help from locals on Monday evening.

One Gafar Miya had called Gupta, a computer technician who hails from Jeetpur VDC,  to Solakhpur on the pretext of laptop repair before he was kidnapped on Sunday.

Gupta told police that with the help of two of his accomplices Miya had blindfolded him and taken to Chaurasiya's house via a jungle.

When police reached the house, kidnappers had already fled. But police took the landlord for custody.
