KATHMANDU: A landslide buried a Kathmandu-bound moving passenger bus in Kakani of Nuwakot on Thursday.

The passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 2841) coming from Trishuli of Nuwakot to the Capital was struck in the landslide in Kakani-1 along the Pasang Lhamu Highway at around 3:45 pm today, police said.

Meanwhile, police rescued five persons from the incident site alive.

Further rescue operations are underway, according to police.
