Laws on union rights soon: Speaker

Kathmandu, April 9:

Speaker of Parliament Subash Nembang today said that the House would make laws on professional rights soon. Addressing the opening ceremony of the fifth national convention of the Nepal Para-veterinary and Livestock Association (NPLA) here, Nembang assured the participants that the parliament would decide the issue of professional welfare soon. He said that the government would recognise their union rights.

Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Chhabilal Bishwakarma appreciated the role of technical professionals in national development.

Vice-president of the Federation of Professional Organisations, Pramod Sharma, said no changes were seen in the situation of professionals despite repeated rhetoric of professional rights.
