Leader Nepal urges NC to join incumbent govt

RUKUM: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the Nepali Congress should join the incumbent government to make it as national consensus government.

At a news conference organised by Rukum chapter of Press Chautari at Musikot on Monday morning, leader Nepal urged the newly elected NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to join the government led by the CPN-UML.

He said, "Sher Bahadur Ji join the incumbent government. Let's move together and give momentum to development drive. Let's institutionalise the federalism and move together settling the disputed issues."

Stating that the country has been able to get the democratic constitution, the CPN-UML leader said that responsibility for the implementation of new Constitution and launching new campaign for development has fallen on the shoulders of the CPN-UML.

On a different note, he stressed that it was necessary to lift the country to the status of developed country by making the country's economy stronger with the modernisation of agriculture.
