KAVRE, July 13

Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Kavre chapter leader Jagat Lal Shrestha has been accused of taking money for zinc sheets meant for quake victims at Nashikasthan of Sanga in Kavre.

The zinc sheets were provided by Nepal Mandal, a Newari organisation operated by Mallake Sundar, to tremor victims of Nashikasthan as relief after the April 25 earthquake.

Jagat Lal charged Rs 1,000 for each sheet from victim families as transportation cost.

Raju Shrestha, a local, said Jagat Lal had taken the amount along with a copy of citizenship certificate while distributing the sheets. He said Jagat Lal had been arrested after the victims filed a case against the illegal act at Sanga Police Post.
