Left alliance means authoritarianism: Paudel
Damauli, November 14
Senior Nepali Congress leader and candidate for parliamentary election from Tanahun Constituency No 1 Ramchandra Paudel today argued that the left alliance was hinting at authoritarianism in the country.
Speaking at an election publicity campaign at Pokharichhap of Byas Municipality-7, of the district, Paudel said the alliance was not giving a positive message at a time when the country was struggling with implementation of the constitution and institutionalisation of republicanism. Paudel said the left alliance was spreading an illusionary message. “Hence, there is no point in trusting the alliance. The alliance is seeking alternative to parliamentary system to impose tyrannical ruling in the country,” said Paudel.
Paudel expressed commitment to take necessary initiatives to distribute at least 10 per cent share of Tanahun Hydro-power Project among locals. He claimed that he was always fighting to ensure the rights and opportunities of Dalits, women, the marginalised and other disadvantaged communities. He said development of agriculture, hydro power and tourism were a must for the country’s prosperity.
