ILAM: The Lekhapadi Sangh in Ilam has donated Rs. 50,000 to help the under-construction blood transfusion centre of Nepal Red Cross Society.

Association Chair Tundu Sherpa and Secretary Ramesh Shrestha handed over the contribution to Rabindra Prasad Shrestha of the NRCS at a function held on Thursday.

The support is aimed at helping NRCS speed up the construction of the centre that is yet to be completed even after years of construction due to financial constraint, said Sherpa.

The centre is being constructed at Narayanthan premises of NRCS Ilam.
