Leopards in threat

RUKKUM: Leopards, one of the world’s most endangered animals, have not been well protected in Nepal.

According to the police, the captured leopard- skins are evidence of the fact that these endangered animals are in threat. Since no quantitative study has been carried out, there is no data to support the claim. At the same time the locals also agree that the poaching of leopards has been increasing.

The export value of the skin, claw, bone and penis of leopard is very high.
