JHAPA: As many as 7,650 people were found suffering from leprosy in Jhapa till date. Of them, 7, 140 were administered leprosy medicine, according to District Public Health Office, Jhapa. The district had reported 196 new leprosy cases last year. The disease has hit the southern part the most in the district. Similarly, Jhapa has as many as 972 cancer patients.
