Light aftershock shakes central Nepal

KATHMANDU: A tremor of local magnitude 4.7, as an aftershock of last year's Gorkha Earthquake, hit central Nepal at 6:11 pm Wednesday.

According to National Seismology Centre, the epicentre of the earthquake locates in Sindhupalchok district at the latitude of 27.89° N and the longitude of 85.73° E.

The magnitude-7.6 Gorkha earthquake of April 25 last year has been followed by 443 aftershocks of local magnitude 4 or above till today, according to the Centre.
