Light tremor felt early on Sunday morning
KATHMANDU: A light jolt was felt around several parts of the country early on Sunday morning.
According to the National Seismological Centre, the earthquake felt at 5:06 am was of local magnitude 4.7.
With the epicentre of 27.85 latitude and 85.76 longitude in Sindhupalchok, the tremor was felt in neighbouring districts including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.
Last significant tremor recorded was in Dhading on June 8 with the local magnitude of 5.0.
Prior to today, the last earthquake recorded by the centre was a 4.0 ML jolt on October 25 with its epicenter around Sindhupalchok/Dolakha.
