HETAUDA: As many as three persons died and one sustained injuries after they were struck by lightning in Makawanpur district on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Bhimlal Syangtan (30) of Manahari Rural Municipality-2 and his three-year-old daughter Bimala, and Krishna Bahadur Balami (60) of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-16 in the district, and injured as Salina Shrestha (15) of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilipraj Jha at the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

According to police, the injured were rushed to Hetauda Hospital where Syangtan father and daughter duo, and Balami breathed their last today morning during the course of treatment.

However, Shrestha was later referred to Chitwan Medical College for futher treatment, said police.
