UDAYAPUR: Three persons died after being struck by lightning coupled with storms and rainfall in Limchungbung Rural Municipality-2 of Udayapur district Thursday evening. Two others have sustained injuries in the incident.

Chief of District Police Office Nabaraj Bhatta informed, Bishnu Maya Bhujel, the eight-year-old daughter of Krishna Bahadur Bhujel, 11-year-old son Kaushal of Khadga Bahadur Bhujel and Dhan Pratap Rai (63) died after the lightning struck the house of Krishna Bahadur.

A team of police personnel and an ambulance has been sent to the incident site, police said.
