Lightning-disrupted electricity service not operational yet
BAITADI: The electricity service that was disrupted due to lightning in Rauleshwar of Baitadi for over 15 days has not come into operation yet.
Locals of Rauleshwar are deprived of electric power for long time.
Locals have voiced their complaint that the Electricity Authority has turned deaf to resume the electricity service in the area.
"We are facing several problems in absence of electricity service", said a local Narendra Bista. The lack of electric power has prevented people from charging mobile phones and has also prevented children in their educational activities at home.
"We could not keep vaccines secured in refrigerator due to disruption in electricity service", said Rauleshwar Health Post In-charge Depuram Rana. "We could not maintain cold chain of vaccines in lack of smooth electric power", he added.
The lightning caused damages to the electricity transformer that has resulted in electricity disruption in the area, informed Madhav Prasad Lekhak of Nepal Electricity Authority, Baitadi.
