JHAPA: Life in nine districts to the east of Arun River was affected on the second day of the bandh called by Federal Limbuwan Party Nepal on Tuesday. The party called a two-day strike demanding a separate province to the east of Arun. Life in Sunsari, Morang, Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha and Teharthum districts were hit hard. The main markets in Damak, Birtamod, Kakadbhitta, Dharan, Itahari, Biratnagar, Inaruwa, Dhankuta, Myanglung, Basantapur, Ilam, Phidim and  Phungling were shut completely. Long and short route vehicles did not ply while educational institutions were closed.
