Province 1 Chief Somnath Adhikari Pyasi said journalists’ code of conduct needed to be linked to national interest and durable peace.

At a two-day seminar on journalists’ code of conduct organised jointly by Press Council Nepal and FNJ Province 1 Chapter here today, Province Chief Adhikari stressed that mediapersons should abide by the code of conduct and bring quality and inclusive news.

He further suggested that journalists write on industrialisation, innovation, and successful implementation of the constitution. Journalism also has public responsibility, Adhikari underscored.

On the occasion, Chairman of Administrative Court Kashiraj Dahal said journalists could make news abiding by the code of conduct.
