INARUWA: A massive fire broke out from a liquor store at Mahendra Chok of Inaruwa Municipality-5 in Sunsari district on Sunday midnight.

The fire started from the wholesale liquor shop, Dantakali Suppliers, owned by one Sitaram Pathak, inflicting a loss of around Rs 1.5 million, the District Police Office informed.

The fire destroyed a Pulsar motorcycle (Ko 12 Pa 2856) and various brands of prepackaged liquor, beer and energy drinks.

The fire was taken under control with help of local residents, police and a fire engine dispatched from the Municipality.

Meanwhile, the shop owner has suspected a foul play, said police.
