Load-shedding to begin from Monday
Kathmandu: The Nepal Electricity Authority has decided to slap two-and-a-half-hour load-shedding, beginning Monday. The authority has come up with this decision a month earlier than it was implemented a year ago.
“There is no option than going for load-shedding as water supply has decreased while the demand for electricity increases,” said Sher Singh Bhat, the chief of the Load Dispatch Centre of the NEA. Every corner of the capital once in a week will be dark from 5.00 pm to 7.30 pm for the winter due to the power cut. Rest of the country, where electricity is available, will have to face dark evenings in a week from 5.30 to 8.00 pm.
