DANG: Locals of Lalmatia VDC, Dang, obstructed the East-West Highway in the district after Chaure Nepali (45), a local resident, was killed in an accident. Nepali was killed when a vehicle ran over him last night.

The villagers are demanding compensation to the family of the victim and action against the guilty.

Dozens of vehicles have been stranded as the highway is obstructed with piles of stones, the Bhaluwang Area Police Office said.

Meanwhile, the relatives of Santosh Oli (21) also obstructed Tulsipur-Hapure section of the road demanding compensation to the family of the deceased. Oli, a resident of Tulsipur-8, was killed when he fell off the hood of a bus that was heading to Tulsipur from Raicha.
