Logistics handed over to PLA
Lalitpur, December 25:
Accusing the government of not providing enough logistics to the Maoists living in cantonments, 28 republican forums handed over logistics, including blankets and clothes, to the Maoist People’s Liberation Army (PLA) today.
The front had collected the logistics from people of various districts as reports about poor lodging conditions in cantonments surfaced.
A total of 871 blankets, 80 jackets, sleeping bags, a 322-metre roll of mat, shoes, quilts, pants and trousers were collected. They will be sent to PLA men living in cantonments. Indra Dhwoj Gurung, president of the Syangja-Kathmandu Republican Forum, handed over a blanket as a symbol of support to the deputy commander of the PLA, Pasang, at a function organised here today.
Lauding the role of PLA men in “changing the face of Nepal”, Gurung said the forums will continue collecting logistics for the PLA.
Addressing the function, Pasang said the PLA and the people are committed to establishing a Loktantrik republic in the nation.
