KATHMANDU: Supreme Federation of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneur (SFNNTE), that has been demanding the government to withdraw the decision of phasing-out cooking gas-run tempo, have announced second round of protest, today.
Ram Kumar Blon, coordinator of the ad-hoc struggle committee said that they have announced valley bandh for 25th and 26th October.
Blon also informed that in a bid to pressure the government, they would gherao the department of transport management on 14th. "We are going to file a case at Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on 12th October" said Blon. A protest rally from Koteswor to Babarmahal for the same day has also been announced.
Meanwhile, SFNNTE will be submitting a memorandum to the President, the Prime Minister, Constituent Assembly Chairman, and others on October 9 and October 11.
SFNNTE has been organising various protest programmes against the Ministry's decision of phasing out cooking run gas tempo.
The agitators have been demanding job security for all those, who win their bread from the tempos.
Earlier, a meeting convened by the Ministry of Transport, on September 9, had decided to ban cooking gas-run three-wheelers and issue route permit for micro buses in replacement.
