BUTWAL: The Lumbini Zonal Hospital remained tensed throughout Wednesday following the unexpected death of a pregnant woman.

Ram Kumari Tamang of Sunwal Municipality-6 of Nawalparasi was admitted to the hospital at around 10 am on Tuesday following the labour pains.

She died due to excessive bleeding at around 7 yesterday morning. However, her relatives blamed the hospital for her death and have refused to accept the body.

Hospital Officiating Chief Dr Rajendra Khanal said they are investigating the reason behind the death of the pregnant woman and the fact will be known soon.
