KATHMANDU: British actress and rights defender Joanna Lumley will arrive in Kathmandu on a week-long visit on Sunday. She will be accompanied by Gurkha Justice campaigner Peter Carroll, first Nepali-British Councillor Dhan Gurung, Councillor Leen and Lt Madan Kumar Gurung. Lumley had spearheaded a campaign to allow the British army veterans to settle in Britain. Gurkha Army Ex-Servicemen’s Organisation will felicitate Lumley in Kathmandu on Monday for her invaluable contribution to the welfare of the British army veterans. Padam Bahadur Gurung, president, GAESO, said a delegation of GAESO would receive Lumley at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:45 pm on Sunday.
