Mahat backs NA

Dhangadhi: Former Finance Minister and leader of the Nepali Congress Dr Ram Saran Mahat today claimed that the Maoists were reluctant to change their perspective on Nepali Army. Speaking at a press conference organised in Dhangadhi, Mahat said, “As the Maoists still have the war hangover, they are biased against the army.”

“The Maoist act of tinkering with the army reflects its ambition to impose dictatorship,” he said, adding, “It is unfair on the part of the Defence Ministry not to extend the tenure of eight brigadier generals of the NA.”
