Mahato against army integration

Taulihawa, December 9:

Minister for Commerce and Supply and chairman of Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato said that the People’s Liberation Army combatants should be established elsewhere, rather than integrating into Nepal Army.

Mahato was speaking at an interaction organised in Taulihawa by Madhes Media Society Kapilvastu today. He clarified that the Comprehensive Peace Accord mentions PLA only as ‘party fighters’, not as ‘army’, adding only those meeting NA entry requirement could join the national army.
