Mahato warns of fresh agitation after Chhath

SAPTARI: Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato demanded immediate amendment of the Constitution.

During a brief conversation with the journalists in Rajbiraj on Friday, Mahato warned that a fresh agitation would be launched in the interest of Madhes and the Madhesi people if the three-point agreement reached between the government and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) was not addressed before the Chhath festival.

He cautioned the government that his party's support could be withdrawn if the Constitution amendment did not resolve the problems faced by Madhes.

Mahato also spoke against holding local body elections without preparing the draft of federalism.
