JANAKPURDHAM: A motorcyclist died on the spot after being hit by a tipper in Janakpur of Dhanusha district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Pappu Mahato (24) of Matihani-3, Mahottari, informed SI Deep Aryal, incharge of Jiromile Police Station.

Mahato was hit by the tipper (Ba 3 Kha 5375) in front of the Janakpur bus station's main gate at around noon today.

Mahato was returning on his motorcycle (Ja 7 Pa 683) after dropping his sister at the bus station when he was hit by the four-wheeler.

Police meanwhile have impounded the tipper and arrested the driver for further investigation.
